Gli antichi irlandesi descrivono nel "Lebor Gabala Erren" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebor_Gab%C3%A1la_%C3%89renn) o The Book of the Taking of Ireland, come fu poi tradotto in inglese, compilato durante il 12° secolo, la venuta dei misteriosi Tuatha Dé Danann (o Tribe of Danu, la Tribù dei Danu).

Traduzione;
"... si trovavano nelle isole a nord del mondo, dove si acculturarono, praticarono ed impararono l'arte della profezia e della magia, fino a quando divennero esperti nelle arti (??)."
Erano talmente avanzati da utilizzare come mezzo di trasporto "navi volanti";
